A Prayer for Gratitude

November is the season that we begin to give thanks for all of the blessings we have and for the year as we slow down and come into the holiday season. Gratefulness is in the heart and we are so beyond blessed each day. Some of the blessings we do not even notice or see. Some of the blessings we take for granted. The best part of being with God each day of our lives, we are reminded of how grateful we are for God. His presence alone is a blessing. He moves in our lives each day even when we can not see it. His hands are always over us protecting us, caring for us and loving us. So, today I just want to lift you and myself up in a prayer for a heart full of gratitude.

Pray with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the daily blessings you provide for me- seen and unseen, It is by you that each day I have breath in my body. It is by your grace and mercy that I am able to be here today. It is by your love that my heart is full of joy. It is by your saving grace that I am able to wake each day with new life. Thank you God for being my provider. Thank you God for being my protector. Thank you God for being a way maker. Thank you for standing by Your Word. Thank you for blessing me. Thank you for loving me. God, fill my heart with thankfulness to appreciate each thing that I have in life. In those times when I become selfish and forget all that I have, I pray Lord to know that the greatest gift I have is You. May I know that you are there each and every day and how much that is a blessing in my life. I pray to be grateful for the friends and family that you have blessed me with as a part of the family you have for me. In those times when I grow weary. May I know to call on you and be grateful that I can cast my anxieties and burden on to them and you will take care of them because you care for me. May I remember that you are the one who sees me when no one else does. May I know that you favor me. May gratefulness fill my heart and overflow into my family, friendships, workplace, errands, home duties and other positions that I may fill. In my daily life many people see the gratefulness of my heart because of how good you have been to me God. Gratefulness in my heart God from you and only you. Thank you Lord for all that you do and showing your love to me. In Jesus name, Amen!

Peace & Blessings

Toni
