Refresh & Restart Series: Purpose Refresh

Finding your purpose may be the most beautifully unfolding process you will ever experience in life. Some know from birth who they are and some find it along the way. Walking in it is a mind blowing experience that can not be explained but in a complete “awe”. Then, one day you fall off course and did not even expect yourself to be this far from your purpose. Now you are back on a journey to serve back in that position once again but the fear of falling of course builds up as you are striving to get back to that good place.

I have been there and back a bunch of times Queen. And I can tell you that it hurts when you know your purpose and you fall of course because you are running or just plainly stop walking. Reasons can be fear, doubt, worry, unqualification, hurt, pain, unforgiveness, anger, and worldly distractions. Then, you find yourself one day even contemplating if you will ever be good enough to fulfill the purpose and plan God has for your life.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This is a reminder God set this in stone for you because He knew that there would be things like fear, doubt and distractions in the world that would lead His children off course. This very scripture shows us how loving our Father is that He would put a sim-ple reminder for us so that we can believe in Him more that He will do what He said He will do. I want you to know today that God has the final say. God is going to deliver you out of the season where you feel that your purpose is not worthy of you. Your journey, the people that need what you have, the brokenness in people, the pain and hurt in people ALL need you to walk in that purpose Queen!

You have to get back to that place. Whatever it is going to take, do it. God has a plan for you. A specific blueprint just for you. But you have to make a commitment to laying it all out there to God. You have to put your pride aside and let the Lord have a way in your life. You have to stick to what you know and how you have seen God show up before in your life. God is a God of promises and they are always on time. He is a good, good Father!

You may need to go back and examine where you fell off. Take some time to dive deep into what made you fall off and how can you have a game plan to not get back to that place. Incorporate some strategic plans that you can put in place that will help you to get back to serving your purpose.

Ways to tune in to your purpose:

Spend time with God daily- Go to God and ask Him what your purpose is. Write down what is revealed to you.

Serve in your purpose- If you fully know your purpose, go into that community and serve some time. You will get so much through just serving a need.

Journal about your purpose- Sometimes you just need to get clear. Take the time to do some research on your purpose and get clear on how you can make an impact in that area of purpose.

Scriptures to meditate on purpose:

All things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28

The Lord will work out his plans for my life ---for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.

Psalms 138:8

Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16
