Resilience Taught Me

All my life I always complained about the things that I went through. I literally gave myself every reason that it was a negative experience. As I had conversations with God, I would ask why and why couldn’t I have a better life. It took years of holding the pain to finally let go and realize that God was preparing me for my purpose in life. Resilience was the word dropped in my spirit when I came to understand this.

Resilience has taught me:

  • The life you desire is waiting on you to expect it and work for it. -God has a life for you that is beyond expectation. God wants to blow your mind Queen. You have got to believe that in your heart. You have to trust that He will guide you and give instruction every step of the way. Psalms 37:4 says “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” That means that God knows your heart and just wants you to come to Him in your deepest heart posture and talk to Him and let Him know what you want. He wants you to trust Him with all your heart and understand that you are His daughter and He wants all of you. He loves the deepest parts of you! Go to Him and talk with Him about your life and ask Him questions about your life and God will reveal to you the life He has for you and it is full of protection, love and abundance.

  • Loving people from a distance is still love.- Love can be a roller coaster that takes you in and out of pain. I have totally been there in my journey a few times. I have been there in family relationships and friendships. I have been in toxic relationships that have hurt me and left me in a deep and dark place where I felt that hate was better than love. And God reminded me that love and trust lies in Him. He reminded me of that. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him and He will lead your paths straight.” God wants you to trust Him as your Father and you as His daughter. He wants you to trust Him and know that He will not hurt you, leave you or forsake you. God has an enduring love and He will not turn on you and leave you love lost like man. Psalms 117:2 says that, “For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.” Love from our Father endures forever Queen!

  • You have to keep your faith high if you are going to push through. Queen, I can tell you that you have to get deep in your faith if you are trying to stay strong and get through your test and trials. Trust me the obstacles will always be there but you have to keep your faith high. You have to call on the Father, pray day in and day out, get on your face, fast when you need clarity, worship through a tough time, cry it out when you are confused and all the above each time you need it. It is going to take making your walk with God a lifestyle. You will have to let go of some things. You will have to learn some new things. You will have to become a new person. The old you will have to die to become all that you are to be when you are coming into the woman of God you are called to be.

  • God loves every part of you.- Longing for love is one of the things we do to feel like we are needed and feel like we are apart. But the love that God gives is unexplained and in my darkest times he has met me right where I was. He met me in depression. He met me in unworthiness. He met me in sadness. He met me in self-sabotage. He met me in my weakness. The great thing is that the love of God runs deep. It is a refreshing and rejuvenating love that endures forever. God’s love can uplift, restore and rebuild anything. When you are pushing through and overcoming adversity that love will get you through it Queen!

  • Jesus died for the old you to be forgiven and the new you to be birthed.- Old habits, old friends, old actions, old things you used to do will be the test to the new you that comes when you embark on a life with Jesus. Trust me, in no way is it easy. I am still processing each and every day how to continue to not revert back to old ways and it is not easy but it is worth it. Struggle is not the word Queen when dealing with spiritual battles such as identity. Once you find who you are in God, and you continue to show up and show out for that each day, the storms, whirlwinds, tsunamis (lol) will all come but that is what I see as a gift. I see that I am worthy. I see that I am valuable. I see that I am loved. I see that I have purpose. And, those reminders show us that the new version of us is something to mess with and is off limits. We are so valuable to the Father and He loves us so much that He wants the best for us. In those times that you battle overcoming an obstacle regarding “old you” continue to push past it. Implement new ways that can assist with you overcoming that obstacle. Jesus died so that you can be free. So, remember that fear, doubt, worry, depression, anxiety, or any other attack died a long, long time ago so that you can be free to feel joy, kindness, love, peace, patience and so much more in abundance. Your Father loves you and will transform you, Queen!

There is so much inside of you Queen! You are so worthy and valuable to God. He wants the absolute best for you. And yes we have tests and trials that sometimes take us out, well it seems. But you are so much more than that. You have a mind that can be open to all of the beautiful things God can reveal to you. You have eyes that can be open to see in the spiritual realm. You have a mouth that can spread the Word of God. You have hands that can do the work of God. You have feet that can walk in the will and purpose that God has for you. Believe that these things can be done for you. You are a spirit in a temple. Let God use you Queen especially in those tough and hard times, that build resilience. Resilience taught me that God loves me deeply!

Peace & Blessings,

Toni
