Self-Compassion Series: God Honors Your Try

One thing for sure is God will continue to show up for you. Take a look over the course of your life and remember the times when you thought you wouldn’t make it through. Think about all the thoughts and how it made you feel. Now, re frame to where you are now. You could have not made it out of that time but God knew there was more for you. God had a hope and future for you.

Lately, I have been struggling with the thoughts of I am “stuck” or “not doing enough” and “not moving fast enough”. The thing is in reality I was used to a lifestyle of doing a lot or being busy. As God is slowing me down and building more intentional for my work, it has been hard to commit to this new lifestyle where I am patiently waiting for the next step and answers to prayers. But, throughout my battle with my thoughts, fear and doubt God has been reminding me to continue to keep going and trying. That gave me so much comfort in this season.

Self-Compassion is giving your try each and every day. Taking the initiative to be with God each day is a lifestyle. God honors you trying and will handle the rest. You have to try and continue to do what He has called you to do each day. Work at it each day. The vision was set for you and only you. The dream has not died. The desires of your heart will be fulfilled. God has not forgotten about you.

Keep TRYING through fear.

Keep TRYING through doubt.

Keep TRYING through silent seasons.

Keep TRYING through waiting seasons.

Keep TRYING through hard times.

Keep TRYING through worry.

Keep TRYING through loss.

Keep TRYING through pain.

Keep TRYING through hurt.

Keep TRYING through the identity crises.

Keep TRYING through the unknown.

Queen, know that God makes a way out of no way. It is not over. It is still a CALL for your life. It is still a PLAN for your life. It is still VICTORY in the story so try more and more each day to build your relationship with God and create a lifestyle that praises and worships Him.

Scriptures to meditate on:

Psalms 27:1- The Lord is my light and my salvation- whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold my life-of whom shall I be afraid?

1 Peter 5:6-7- Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you.

Peace & Blessings,

Toni
