Overcoming Yourself to Say Yes to God

There are times when we truly just come to a point in our journey where we realize that there is so much more to us if we choose to let go. I mean let go of the past, the hurt, the pain and anything that is hindering us from moving to all that God has for us. It is like hurting yourself for no apparent reason when we can let go and let God handle everything in our life that hurts us.

Coming into a life with God means accepting to live a life that truly honors Him. That means forgiveness. That means doing good to others. That means stewardship. That means good character. That means laying your life out before God to shape you. Mold you and guide you on a journey that answers His will for your life. It is that ultimate YES to God.

Things we do know:

  • That yes you have had things done to you by others that were not right.

  • That your heart was broken and that what happened pained you.

  • That you had no control for no one else’s actions.

  • That you still may feel some way about what happened.

  • That forgiving them is not the easiest, and forgiving yourself may be even harder.

BUT GOD...

Sees you-1 Samuel 16:7- But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Loves you- Romans 5:8-But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Wants to give you the desires of your heart- Psalm 37:4-5- Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.

Cares for you- 1 Peter 5:7- Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Will take all of your burdens- Psalm 55:22- Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

Forgives you- 1 John 1:9 -If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Protects you- Psalm 23:1-6- A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Guides you- Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Wants good for you- Romans 8:28- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Will heal you- Psalm 147:3- He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Never leave you- Genesis 28:15- Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.

You have so much to live for. Much more beyond what this world can offer you. You have to live for the Kingdom. We are here to fulfill God’s will and live to bring praise to His Holy name. There is so much that happens to us. I mean the truly unspeakable and definitely unlivable...well that is how it feels sometimes. But I just want to remind you that there is a God who is always fighting for you. He is fighting for your heart. He wants your undivided attention. He wants to be your loving Father. He wants so much from you that you can not even imagine. He wants to take you higher, Queen. He wants that woman of God who is inside of you trapped behind feelings, emotions, hate, self-sabotage, pain, hurt, lies, self-defeat and every thing that has lied to you that kept you so distant from Him.

Now, it is time to get back to that YES!

It is time to start praying more.

It is time to start believing more.

It is time to level up in your faith.

It is time to lay out your pain before teh Lord.

It is time to start putting out those prayers that was a little too bold for the broken-hearted woman.

It is time to start living a life like Jesus.

It is time to let some things go that do not serve or honor God.

It is time to start tightening up the circle.

It is time to start building a community and support system that is a part of God’s family for you.

It is time to press when you feel fear.

It is time to fast again.

It is time to set that routine so you can get up or get some rest.

It is time to start loving you again.

It is time for Him to tell you the next steps for you to finish what you started in school.

It is time to ask God what He wants the business to be.

It is time for a fresh anointing upon your life and purpose for the Kingdom.

It is time to SURRENDER ALL THINGS UNDER GOD...GIVE HIM FULL CONTROL!

Leave the past with God, live in your present with God and the future is already in His hands. We do this thing called life with God. Give it all to Him Queen, He has you every step of the way. You are not what happened to you but are being birthed into a woman of resilience who God has designed you to be. So keep overcoming obstacles that seem a little tiresome, they do not compare to the victory that is on the other side of the hurdle, Jump in faith!

Peace & Blessings.

Toni
